[翻刻]二重橋 宮城の正門､即ち俗に謂ふ二重橋であります｡長録元年､鎌倉管領上杉定正の家臣太田持資入道灌が､武蔵野の荒野の中に築いた城を､後に徳川家康が居城と定めて､幕府三百年の基を開きました｡當時は今の丸の内あたりが海邊だったといひますから､その眺望といひ､その要害といひ､實に好適の居城だったと思われます｡

It is a large collection of approximately 108,000 books, containing materials from a wide range of fields, mainly composed of Japanese and Chinese classics. It is also known as "Encyclopedia of Classics" or "Treasure House of Edo Studies".
